Feather's have been a main part of my drawing practice for years. I know they are often bought as sympathy gifts as many people find comfort and meaning in seeing feathers after a loved ones passing. They are also beautiful objects to engrave as the delicate lines catch the light. The way glass and glass engraving interact with light inspired this piece. I wanted to make something simple in deisgn to support the poetic beauty of the way the light from the candle plays with the etched line.
